Journey
Growing up in Tembisa, Johannesburg, Thuso Nemabaka, better known as S’tukzin Da Djay, was drawn to music from a young age, inspired by an uncle who worked as a local DJ. By fourteen, he was already behind the decks, and by sixteen, he was producing his own tracks, making a sound that initially leaned toward Private School House before fully embracing the fast-rising Amapiano movement.
He built his reputation through collaborations with some of South Africa’s hottest names, including Mellow & Sleazy, Kid X, Sizwe Alakine, and M.J. His breakout moment arrived with “Ispharaphara,” a playful Amapiano single with DJ 787, rooted in a childhood memory of hopping onto moving trucks and buses. Before that, tracks like “Bangladesh Maza” (with Major League DJz, Bangz Musiq, and DJ 787) had already hinted at his potential.
Signed to Sony Music Entertainment Africa, S’tukzin combines youthful energy with a collaborative spirit, continually expanding his reach in the local and international music space, and openly dreaming of working with stars such as Rihanna and Kabza De Small.
